چکیده

Simple fixed bed models such as the Bohart–Adams and Thomas equations are often used to describe breakthrough characteristics of water air contaminant adsorption in adsorbers. However, these popular confined correlating highly symmetric curves. The present study explores feasibility using two probability distributions (normal log-normal) track asymmetric curves for columns (ciprofloxacin, ammonium, hydrogen chloride, sulfide). normal log-normal provided accurate fits slightly ciprofloxacin curve. They also a good representation overall shape ammonium curve, but failed leakage during initial period column operation. distribution was able match HCI H2S distribution, by comparison, Because has floating inflection point, it very effective describing that were sharp initially then broadened significantly approached saturation. ability data impeded its invariant point.
